I'd say you need to watch out for The police! Lol Ps, I'd buy a warranty package with a car like that. Gurds
When I chatted with Doug at MRC about them he said that (amazingly) the C6 RS6 was pretty solid and trouble-free generally but in his opinion the older C5 was a massive money pit. You'd have to be a bit brave for either of them, to be honest.
I had a Tuoareg 3.0 V6 TD1 Sport - unlike the retrospective engineering of lesser VW models they are engineered uniquely with few common parts and eye watering costs if they go wrong (and they do) eg: engine out to get to the gearbox!! I took out an all encompassing warranty each year for 500 (less than a tenner a week) with Warranty Direct. The irony was that it didn't go wrong!!
cracking motor, and plenty of specialists around to take care of any issues. gearbox can go wrong on heavily boosted motors so try and find a std one which should be sound. check brakes have plenty life as big bucks. carbon ceramics as an option are massive money, 7k per axle i was once told. personally i would keep it on oem rubber. 35k buys you a very nice new model s4 which would still be on warranty....seriously fast car also.....
I love the spec of my A6 and so does my mrs that's why I bought an A6 rather than an A4 I hope I can get a car through my contacts at Audi so hoping for a standard car as I'd never feel the need to boost performance
How about an C6 S6 5.2 v10 NA engine, 420bhp I think, awesome car that's about 60% cheaper than an RS. I'm on the lookout for one at the moment.
Think this threads dead now Mrs not keen and I'm loosing money at work ATM things very very quiet 55% down on normal work load so feeling But thanks anyway
Actually it's better to buy the car which you can afford and run easily. You don't need to jump so high so you can't even run this.
