Got some OZ's, but they are multi fit, and they don't have the right 57.1mm bore for my golf, nor do they have the spacer ring collar things.

my head is telling me it's a big no no to even think about fitting these until I have the collars made up.

do I risk snapping (more) wheel bolts running without them?

not a chance. I'll be getting some collars machined up.

I just wanted to run those with my new tyres and keep the R32 wheels with the bald ones for Croft.

I got a metal set (ally) from North Eastern Tyres for one set of wheels, Halfords in Leeds managed to sort a set out for my Hockenheims (sp?).

since halfords are an OZ supplier (I think?), they should be able to get you some, though I dunno how much they charge :)

i got my adapters from a local tyre supplier who stocked the wheels only took a few days and cost 20 [:D]

not worth the risk of runing them without them

the problem is that without a hubcentric fit, its very difficult to centre the wheel properly, which can result in excessive vibration that could shear off the wheel bolts or damage the suspention. Plus it wont handle very well!

Since I bought my car there has been vibration at higer speeds that I have been trying to get rid of - only this week it occured to me that it was because there are no spigots in the alloys. Just need to find out how big I need the OD of the spigot for the BK Racing ones I have on it.

the taper on the wheelnuts should centralise the wheel, obviously loads easier with a spigot though

If the inner bore diameter on the wheel is 73mm, i got some alloy ones from Compomotive for my wheels (73/57.1mm) for about 11. I personally wouldn't run without them if poss. If not you can get plastic ones with different outer diameters for VW's, and getting the wheels back on is much easier!!
