Bit of idle speculation for the future & been pondering this for a while.

Now I love my dubs but love my RWD wagons.

Can't help thinking a fettled VR6 Corrado with RWD would be ace & also what a laugh my valver Golfy would be as RWD.

    Anyone ever pondered it/done it?

Not a mega job I dont imagine? just Rallye gearbox/prop/rear axle minus front driveshafts? & syncro boot area floor pan welded in place?

I'd love mine to be RWD, imagine 300bhp going through to the rear wheels on a mk2 golf [8D]

    would be pretty sweet,

especially if you could choose some how, have 4wd running gear, then you could change it between front, rear or 4 wheel drive,

not quite sure thats possible though! lol

It'd ba a major pain in the ass to do rwd. Easier to do 4wd as all the stuff is available pretty much bolt on

this is pretty much how the 4 motion system works in the V6 or R32 (i think thats 4 motion) basically the power is put out to the wheels that have the best grip front 4wd or more rear thats why its such a great system.

    Incorrect

the power is never taken away from the front wheels

the fronts will always be powered, the rears just come in to power anything up to 50/50 of the drive, never anythign more. the rears cannot possibly transfer more than the front as the prop and rear diff is only run orr a transfer box which is keyed into the outer casing of the front diff.

    And if you're wondering how I know, it's because I have a 4WD corrado.

if you just want to do donuts go buy a westfield.
