didn't westfield make a 20vt engined car? if so then T5 cossie box and audi inline lump would get ya going, big job mind

cossie rear axle come on a subframe, so you could use one of those possibly

A few teething problems at the moment with crap Audi rubber couplings and prop bearing mounts, but I have an F-plate RWD Jetta.

Based on a syncro, it's got a 20V BAM and the std Audi 6 speed transaxle and transfer box driving the Audi Haldex unit directly.

Need to get a new prop bearing in to stop the the prop whirling under power, and wait for anything else to fall off before putting some big brakes on and winding up the boost.

In this weather though, even the original 8v engine made it an absolute hoot!

Website needs a bit of an update, but I've been too busy outside screwing bits back on to put any more pictures on:

Westfield XTR4 has 20v in it, mid mounted with transaxle either longditudinal from Passat or a transverse one.

Donkervoort (I think) is a dutch company making Seven-type cars with one in

loving the spoiler from an escy cos!

cossies dont have back axles, they have transfer boxes, and driveshafts. which'd be the better way to go, unless you want a live rear end for extra doughnutting pleasure ;)

Yes - engine and transfer box is at the front as standard. No front driveshafts. Run TT prop to TT rear diff, and pop rear syncro driveshafts into the Haldex CV joints (100mm over std syncro 90mm)

You can't run syncro/rallaye transfer box to the Haldex diff as the gear ratio's at either end of the prop are different - ends up about 50mph at 6000rpm in top (or that's what it felt like - not sure as speedo comes off the gearbox at the front which is no longer attached to the front wheels)

You also can't run the 3 piece syncro prop from the Audi transfer box as the coupling PCD is about 5mm bigger and won't fit. So you pretty much have to run the complete TT setup from engine to rear diff. Centre prop bearing needs moving, and the alignment needs to be spot on at either end or the rubber joints fall apart.....
