Mine were chrome and definately about 2.50, i ordered them for my first golf, an 88 8v gti back when i was a young lad, eeeeee those were the days

 

Have ordered from dealers in the end.

10.42 + vat each.

Works out 22.04 total as I get 10% off.

I need to buy them anyway. The ones that sold on e-bay last week went for 36.00 + postage - are these people nuts?

I was watching a pair on e-bay last week. Someone paid 36 + postage. So the dealers ones are fine for me - as long as they are s/steel. Going to pick them up this afternoon.

 

Now fitted - the ones from dealer are Stainless steel now.

Sorry for the thread resurrection but does anyone know whether VW still do these? Given the going price on eBay seems to be 30+ per side I assume not. If not any suggestions on an alternate source or a work around? The only chrome pair on EBay are going for 100!!!!!????
