The only hint I can offer is not to "accidentally" punch a cow in the first village you get to. Didnt think that i'd have the entire village after me for doing that!

    Great game, I think I'm lvl 50 now! [:$]

Craft iron daggers constantly to raise your smithing, you can then enchant them to raise your enchanting skill and sell them for more money.

You can find a refillable (black) soul gem in a mission that allows you to enchant items with grand souls and raise your enchanting quickly by using it to recharge your weapon after each kill.

The thieves guild and brotherhood clothing is good when combined, great for sneaky kills with a bow or backstabs.

The house in solitude you can buy for 25k (costs another 11k to fully do up though) it then has loads of chests to store stuff in, an alchemy table and enchanting table. Plus the housecarl there is almost unkillable. [:D]

    WOW, level 50!
    I'm only on level 8.
Buy a house for 25k, I only have 3k, how do you raise so much gold? Also I need to carry stacks more than 320! Any ideas how to get more carry weight?
I'm away to work for 2 weeks so won't have access to the game- nightmare!!

If you do some quests for the Jarl in whiterun then you get offered a house for 5k where you can store stuff in boxes, this also gets you a woman who will follow you and fight with you and you can trade with her and get her to carry loads of stuff for you.

Most of my weight is always potions [:x] I only carry health and poison ones now, dump the rest in a cabinet

I think the pickpocket skill tree has carry weight +100 but it's a bit of a waste to put all the points into it to get it! There is also a 'worn armour weights nothing' skill in light + heavy armour - dependent upon which you're wearing.

Is it just me or does skyrim sound like a gay sex act?

I have nothing to add further to the thread

I'm at lv20 and am enjoying the game, I juicy like roaming around and finding all the interesting places, I have only touched the story for a short time. You get loads of gold and treasure to sell this way too, I found a gold mine over near markarth, making your way there (stopping of to explore other dungeons etc) is helpful to xp and the reward of the gold is great for your smithing level and wealth.

I find I splash a lot of cash on training which helps you o level up too.

Yip, there is some awesome scenery. I find though that i'm getting taken off track as when I head off for a mission there are so many other little missions to get drawn into.
Thats me away working now so no game to play.
Any help to get more carry weight though would be good.

Ever time I level I add to stamina, also buying the house means you can leave all your unused potions that way s fair bit and also them dragon bones and scales that are heavy.

Ok, I really need to head back and buy that house for 5k. I remember getting offered it but never found it? I then took the girl on a tour of the countryside!

    haha!

If you fast travel to white run, the house you can buy is the 2nd on the right, right next to the blacksmiths. To buy it you talk to the Jarl's right hand man (can't remember his name!) in Dragon's reach.

Definately dump all the dragon bones and scales in storage somewhere though, they're so heavy! I usually just keep 1 sword and 1 bow on me and just the clothes on my back.

I've completed the task to join the Stormcloaks but have held off at the moment as if I do this will it change the whole game i.e. will the Imperials in Whiterun be my foe?

Do I join the Stormcloaks and can I still join the Imperials?

Once you join with either side you then can't join the other, however if you join the Stormcloaks the Imperials don't all immediately attack you so don't worry. But picking a side and doing their missions does change the game forever. (I don't want to spoil it and say how it changes it! But they're definately some of the best missions in the game :p)

What do you suggest Will, Stormcloaks or Imperials?

I just think back to the very beginning of the game and remember the imperials about to cut my head off just for coming over the border....

I've finally just finished the thieves guild quests, takes bloody ages!

I have slayed many a dragon and absorbed their souls
I have found many word walls and added them to my shouts

But when I try to equip a new shout I cannot do it as it says I need dragon souls to enable the shouts

I have souls, I have shouts but can't equip them???????????????

It saps away the hours soo much.

What play style i everyone going for? I'm in the hack and slash warrior mode. There are some good weapons too. A Daedric artifact is called the Wabberjack which has random spells happen.

I've had to take a break for a day or so got an arrow to the knee.

I'm finding it incredibly difficult....I've put in 12 hours and am only a level 9 Imperial. I'm specialising in heavy armour, one-handed weapons and a wee bit of destructive magic but still get beasted by most creatures...haven't killed a dragon on my own, regularly killed by Hagraven...I just run from most things.

I nailed the recent Fallout games but this is much tougher!
