    210bhp / 197lb ft :)

My 2nd Mk2 Vr6 had better figures IMO, which funnily enough were completely the opposite of 196bhp / 210lb ft.

    Very. :)

0-60 is somewhere around 5 seconds with a good one. Effortless cruising at 100+ mph. Get there fast too. The favourite cars ive owned have been Mk2 VR6s.

And if you feel lazy you can drive everywhere in 5th. It will pull from 30mph in 5th all the way to 140mph+. [:D]

    VR6's can be roughly a second quicker than a 225bhp S3 over a quarter mile [:D]

That one has got a bit of a funky gearbox with a 3.9 final drive in it. Means it tops out at 140 (apparently ;) ) but it does slam straight into the rev limiter in 5th quite easily [:$] The 0 - 60 times would be slightly down on what it could be cos you have to hit 3rd before you see 60, but its a track car and its all about the mid range grunt in 2nd 3rd and 4th out of corners that count. Which VR's have in abundance

Nice run there. Liked the laid back Eagles track playing. Usually you hear cheesy Ravy Davy Gravy hardcore!

I haven't seen many mk2 VR6's around, but how much roughly are they worth given a healthy conversion?

What made you get rid of yours Deako?

Madness. Ive never been right in the head. Had Edition One recaros, sorted chassis (could have done with coilies really) and had the best Mk2 shell ive ever owned.

Sweet run that, reminds me why I always wanted to fit a VR into my mk2, but I went for a ABF lump in stead as I thought it would be one hell of a lot easier to fit. But the length of time I have been working on it I could have went down the VR route. Still could, but I think my missus would go schizo hehe:p

Yeah, the back gorund track was added thanks to Santa pod that just happened to have it playing while the run was filmed :)

VR's are defo the best conversion (in my bias'd opinion) for the mk2. But you do have to uprate the suspension to have corrado VR6 suspension for the right poundage springs and uprated ARB's to get the most of of it handling wise. But then uprated ARB's on a mk2 is a no brainer anyway and in many peoples eyes the best 200 odd quid you can spend on the car.

I love my engine.... but its just not agile enough in the mk3 chassis IMO. Some old footage there Luke, I remember being inspired by the sound of that car!!
