specialist insurance companies? pah!

    Aboot 300 with protected NCB with Direct Line (I'm over 25!!). Not only cheap, but you can always get them on the phone easily and speak to a real, usually helpful person! No I haven't got shares!

    Admiral/Elephant are good for standard cars. However, mods are covered for the insurance risk, but not the payout. As you will read in the small print the 'standard parts clause applies'. Ie. if you have an accident in (to grab an example completely at random) 300bhp modified mk2 Golf Driver, all you will get back is standard mk2 golf Driver.

    try the golf + insurance through HIC 340 TPFT with track day cover and driving any car 21 4 years ncb pass plus, all mods declared and the dont care what i do glasgow postcode. oh and 3 points too. (sp30)

    Im with Herts HIC & i just changed my address from NP11 (newport) to CF44 (cardiff) & they said iv'e moved from a security class 19 area to a security class 25 area & it will be another 120 on top of my 400 for full comp [:x] .

    EDIT: & im 33 yrs old with maximum no claims.

    I'm with Admiral, very good.

    My insurance is now 350 tpft on an 8v.
