Street sleeper - a vehicle that looks understated but packs a massive punch, post up your favourite street sleeper. This must be such a laugh, 386 bhp four wheel drive mk4 Escort van that can do 12 sec 1/4 mile and 0-60 in 4 secs ish. Pretty sure pics have been up before, but anyway.... post up up your favourite sleeper. well just got back from doing 1/4 mile at york, best time i could get in the snow, rain and wind was 12.1 at 117mph, which wasnt bad i didnt think for spinning all 4 wheels in 1st and 2nd gear http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=W3WYUsBYEKs http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=fDJTt2ryX_U 386bhp 4wd Escort VAN.
There's a great Escort estate in a Ford mag this month. On Steelies, not quite as serious as the van - RS Turbo motor, but with roof rack and ladders. Well funny. Here's my personal favourite. Then again, it would be On location, snoring away...
Take one old Escort Ghia field motorsport 400 bhp cossie lump. now replaced with a 530 bhp monster with anti lag etc.
there was that beige polo breadvan with a mad 20vt or G60 or something in it on steelies that was psoted up a year or so ago, that was pretty funny only indications that it wasnt standard was the intercooler peeking through the front bumper- he even used a ratty old tailpipe so it looked stock from the back!
That thing is awesome. The bloke has also done a Mk3 Escort with 4x4 cossie drivetrain and engine, can't find any pics though.
That's the one I read the feature about the van, apparently some people were making comments about it being a waste of time doing all that to a Mk3 Escort, so he done the van just to p!*s them off even more
never realised that the royal nail van and the scort mk3 were built by the same guy, love them both especialy the royal nail van. Powernuts caddy truck will be quite a sleeper when finished, and have you seen his splitty pickup truck, a proper sleeper!
I'd call this a bit of a sleeper. These station wagons can be made stupid quick with very little work. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bOO64pzJzoI
