My favourite factory sleeper E28 M5 just add mudflaps for that Grandad look 24 valve twin cam 286 bhp, LSD weighing in at 1465 kg
Frog eye - whats the point in turboing a car that lifts off the ground at 90 mph , lifts so bad you cant actually steer . The others are lovely though , my brother used to have an old rover p5b with a supercharged 4.0ltr v8 back in the distant past , no photo's sorry was a bit of a howler more rust than metal in places , he sold it to build some yank thing (29 model b i think) with a 500 bhp big block mopar engine - not very sleeper but a big laugh none the less .
Love this thread That absolutely beautiful green Mk1 is now for sale here if anyone has a spare 6.5k..
From p1... I've stumbled over these pics - wondered they'd gone. The situ is just after the RS Owners Club Combe trackday in July 2002. The Jetta had been mixing it with the various RSs at the day, and a few were much puzzled.... Anyway, as I stood chatting a short distance away, Badger Bill reached for the camera.... and took a few snaps, without them spotting us Good times
Somehow missed this but nearly 7k for a mk1 with a ****ty 1.8T in it???!!!! hahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahaha!! i'd ****ing pay more with the orginal engine.
Will have to grab some pics of my mates dads sleeper next time i go over there, supercharged v8 morris minor with jag running gear! Mainly used for sprints and hill climbs but he purchased a new toy so its been tucked away in the back of his garage for some time undergoing some upgrades and also talks of it being made road legal in the future!
