I had a trap door baffled sump made for my Ginetta G27 V8

It was used on racing Morgans and shows a simple but effective widage plate system, wings to increase the capacity and the trap doors which were no more than freely moving hinges that shut when oil surged against them and opened with pressure from the returning oil.

Not adverising in the least!!, but we can make these to order in a day, (4 cylinder 8v, 16v etc baffled sumps). As run in both our 750mc race cars.. with 2 centre baffles and front and rear panels too.

yip, one step behind you, the finished item has got a removable section in around the oil pick up and holes to allow oil to pass... i'll see if I have more photos.
