Hmmm....I've been wanting to scratch this one for a long time...but E36's are getting silly cheap now. I've seen people asking more for a set of BBS RS's.... 3.2 6cyl on ITB's, 321bhp, german, RWD, what's not to like?!
I believe you can get a cream from the doctors for that. It is on the same shelf as the Audi cream that I use!! Ian...
Iv had this itch for a while aswell, it does need to be the 3.2 6speed manual though, still for the price of a cosmetically rough one its sooooo much car for the money.
I read the title and almost choked, at first glance I thought it said MK3 thought youd lost the plot altogether Get one bought, the M3 that is
I came close to selling the mk2 for one, but the cost of running them is a bit more than a Golf, so sticking with gay wheel drive little longer.
I just know the corrado isn't going to be ready this year (again), so thinking of buying something relatively cheap to (ab)use for a year then sell on. and for the money i can't see anything that even comes close to the M3 for an all round out of the box toy that i shouldn't really lose money on.
maybe speak to some m3 owners too and see what rough "big" costs you can expect too, but can you live with the chav image?
image means nothing to me, i couldn't care less what people think. besides, i wouldn't buy a cabriolet or a yellow one, so that's most bases covered already.
I'm sure that's what the S8 was; something cheap, leave standard, don't mod it, spend no money on it, just drive it and work on the corrado...... Seriously though - look at my thread - who can blame you for being interested, it's a massive amount of car for the money. (I might have to admin up an M3 sub-section of car chat....)
+ 1, in the nicest way possible If VW can just hurry up and get BMW bought out - but it's not going in before the Porsche, Lambo and Bugatti sections are up & running Now, what did I do with the keys to the Type 35B
no, it was bought because it was ridiculously cheap and I hated the corrado VR6 iwas drvigin at the time. I, fixed it, still took it to the 'ring, pimped about in it and sold it a year later and didn't lose anything on the actual car (petrol costs aside), just a few quid on the pointless suspension i ruined it with and the silly wheels i never fitted. It was the best car i've ever owned, and i'll never own anything like it again i bet. I have a low attention span, im easily bored....
I went from driving a fairly mint mechanically 97 VR6 to a 93 325i sport auto. The golf had all new bushes, shocks, service etc, the BM hadn't been serviced in 5 years or so. The 325 was so much better in every respect its ridiculous. The ride and handling were absolutely perfect, the noise was great, it had more power more weight and auto yet same mpg. It was totally steady in the wet, only stupidity would cause problems (which would cause issues in FWD too). Great car, I bet a 328i sport manual would be very very good too
i drove a couple of 328 sport manuals as I wanted one until i drove them, not a patch on the audi for comfort and driveability (not a real word I know) Im dont doubt it would run rings round the audi on track but for cruising the audi was faster, quieter and lighter to drive.
How much hav you seen one for Phatty you must have one close to you in mind that you've spotted ? i need somthing to abuse on the track if i don't get the MK1 Finished in time, but was thinking of a Ibiza 2.0L 16v Funny at work this week with all the BMW drivers not been able to make it in with the snow. BMW + SNOW =
