Na not yet mate. Going to get the tyres tomorrow, but im really stuck on which ones to buy now though.

I know above i said i wanted to buy the Goodyears, but i dont want to spend 100's, plus im only changing the front 2 for now.

What set could i get for good value... Michelin Pilots maybe?

if your after a tyre that isn't dangerous but may not have the total grip of F1's or Toyo's but you can do stupid mileage on then get a set of uniroyal's. Just changing the rears on my vectra after 35k miles!!!!

I've got a set of those on the front of my Beemer, very good tyre, hard wearing , grippy enough etc. Slightly expensive. I replaced the rears with Goodyear F1's and wasn't impressed with the sudden drop in fuel economy (10%!) and them wearing out so quickly [8(]

Mind you, for the money - I'd go with http://www.camskill.co.uk/products.php?plid=m4b0s99p1667

I've always been a fan of Toyo's, they have a good rim protector design which is good if you're proud of your rims!

^^ you lost 10% fuel economy because of a different set of tyres? where they off road tyres or snow chains?

maybe toyos aren't suited to heavy cars then? ran a set on my mk1 and had no issues with them at all. even when pushed hard they didn't squeal[:@)] happily put a fair amount of mileage on them too, including a number of days at santa pod.

My boss swears by mich pilots, he runs them on his 155 3.0 24v V6 alfa which as you can imagine has a lot of power and torque and they cope real well

I went for these in the end -

    http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/Michelin/Primacy-HP.htm

    Michelin Primacy's.

They only cost 65 each and the grip is outstanding. I had Dunlops on the front before, and these feel like they are 10 x more gripier by far...
Im going to get the rears changed next month to.

I do recommend them though
