Oil pressure is oil pressure, no matter what cools the engine. As long as the sender scale matches the gauge, and it's 10mm x 1mm thread, you'll be fine.

I bought a sender from Machine 7 for mine, although it was a twin pole one.

that's where the dog is burried.
there's no reason to believe that beetle sender will fit golf.

now im starting to get a little confused lol
neil, why do i need the 2 pole sender ?
as i thought i could just leave the standard buzzer/warning light as it is without touching it
all i want is the guage to work hence i bought the single pole one wiring it up aint a problem i can do that easy enough but because i bought the single pole will it work my guage, i cant really be arsed to send it back and wait for another one to come, but if i really need the twin pole i suppose i'd better get one eh :p

you need the two pole on if you want to leave the origonal warning system on,if your taking away the sender that senses the low pressure then this two pole one replaces it and also feeds the gauge

if its single pin you dont replace either of the sensors, you remove the blanking plug in the spare hole and fit it there

sorry i didnt realise you bought a twin pole sender since

the single pole does the gauge feed only, so with that you leave everything alone and just fit it to the spare hole. the dual pole one will replace one of the existing pressure warning switches. you need to find out what rating the pressure warning is on the dual pole sensor is before you swap it for one of your old pressure switches.

if its 0.3bar it replaces the large one on the side of the head, if its 1.8 bar it replaces the large one on the filter housing. I cant say which one as it doesnt mention it on the link. Also it still doesnt say if its m10x1 thread either, this is something else you need to check before you fit it.

    step 1: confirm sender thread
step 2: confirm what the pressure warning switch rating is
