omg what a race!!! i pulled up next to one of these beauties at the lights on at the a127/m25 junction yesterday night, f*cking thing was well low! he looked over and laughed at my golf and started giving it beans revving his 550 horse power big v8 and grinning at me so i gave it some on the go pedal with the mighty vr6 and i swear i almost sucked him up into my bmc!! anyway a few moments later, the lights went green and we were off!!! in a cloud of smoke and with the smell of burning rubber the GT got the initial jump on me (must be the 550 bhp or 500 lbft of torque but i have a supersprint cat back zorst which i think helped me here)and by the end of 1st he was half a car length ahead!!! into 2nd and the vr6 really squatted down but end of 2nd and still not much in it (i could still see him) so i whacked it into 3rd and by this point we were neck and neck and i was slowly inching ahead!!! OMG i was beating a Ford GT!!! by the time we reached 100mph i think he gave up cos he started to drop off and i could see him p1ssing himself laughing (probably with embarrassment at being beat by a golf) so there's the proof, VR6 Highlines are the fastest car in the world Edited by: b'locks

golf 0-60: 7.6 gt40 (if that is what you mean by GT) 0-60: 3.8 that is exactly twice as fast as your car, with three times more bhp, about 5 times more torque, lighter, better handling.......shall i go on? fords will and always be the best cars ever made ever.
