oh the supersport was owned by a guy called Duane. thought I would say that.

He was a mechanic, who left the wheel bolts on my scirocco loose after he'd fitted the suspension for me (he offered, I didnt know much then).

people used to say Duanes supersport was "well quick" but then they would because they had only ever driven escort 1.4s and 1.1 fiesta poular plus's ;)

I always knew it wasnt quick. It was the fastest thing I'd driven at the time (I was 18) but it wasnt THAT much faster than my 1.3S, and that was definitely not the fastest thing around, I knew any mk1 gti would blow its doors clean off, because my dad had a mk2.

Later on in life, I drove a mk1 golf gti, and it was much much quicker.

btw I'd quite like a cossie, but somehow I think it would be a bit disappointing. As in I'd expect too much of it.

gotta be pretty high then as my other mate has an E30 M3 which also amazingly quick but wasnt a patch on the Cossie, anything higher has surely gotta be seriously modded or your in the porka Turbo etc class..... :)

I think that golf has been photoshopped to look even worse, because he was worried that some people would say "yup, the golf" even though hes comparing chalk and cheese :p
