    2 bucket method is...

one bucket full of soapy suds as usual and another bucket with clean water, after washing each panel rinse your wash pad out in the clean water so that your washing water and wash pad stay clean

    Im using:

    Meguires NXT Generation Shampoo
Meguires Quick Detail and Clay Bar
    Meguires NXT Generation Tach Wax
Meguires Natural Shine (vinyl & rubber protection)
Autoglym Fast Glass + Newspaper to rub off
    Wonder Wheels

I also do the 2 bucket routine, and use a tutlewax blade to wipe off excess water and a towel to dry. And a Buffer kit to apply the polish/wax and to buff it.

Damn you guys. I only 'glanced' at this topic an hour or so ago, and now I've gone and sorted out an order for P21s wax and cleaner - all because I'm running a bit low on the NXT wax! [:$] :)

    Wow. Thats amazing
I find it hard to do on black.

    Ok explain this one.

I use...well whatever i can find in the garage. I think its turtle wax atm. Put a cap of that into a bucket.

Spray car with hose and then go round whole car with bucket and sponge.

But i find by the time i get back round to the other side the water has dried and now ive got water marks on it![:x]

Is there a way round this. Go faster? Or wash a side first and then hose it off.[:s] [:$]

I also use some turtlewax 99p stuff my mum got. Its not too bad i dont think!

mat from what I've been reading that tutrle wax is crappy.

is it a shampoo or are you using a wax?????

you need to shampoo with a decent shampoo. get meguires gold class from halfors, works out at about 20p a wash which is still pretty cheap.

It has a rinsing agent in it so the water will rinse off easier. you really ought to dry it with a microfibre cloth such as meguires water magnet for 10.

    that'll stop the streaking

you could leave it at that as it'll be better than what your using at the moment. but i went the whole hog and bought, polish, sealant, wax, applicators etc. etc

if the car is drying before you can get round it...try washing early in the morning or late evening when its cooler

if you still cant manage, then do the roof and windows and rinse and dry...then the bonnet and so on
