What do you use to kneel on when working outside

    Its not very nice when you have to kneel on the concreet floor outside when your working on the car. Im sure I have seen some sort of foam kneel pad what are they called thou?

    Or what do you use instead?

    I usaully sit on my bum on either a thin sheet of cardboard/wood stuff or bubblewrap :lol:

    those polystyrene body boards are quite good. bu they melt to easily, even petrol destroys them.

    i've got one of those foam ones from halfords, about 15.

    keeps you warm and dry, stops you knacking your knees up.

    wear my trousers from work that have kneeepad inserts, or old carpet/cardboard

    a mud flap off a wagon, its waterproof, cleans easy with the jet wash and surprisingly comfortabel.[​IMG]

    In the garage i have one of those judo mats which are nice & a few carpets.

    on back,crap in eyes, beneath car
    get a big cardboard box, open it up. you can spin around on it on your knee or ****.
    for when the grounds wet/damp or you feel like popping use a bit of lino.

    Is it actually bad to kneel on hard surfaces? I do it all the time at work with no padding but i don't really want to start fookin up my knees.

    it depends on weather i can be bothered to go get owt to kneel on. If i do its usually old carpet or a gardeners kneeling pad that my mum bought years ago

    normally steal mums gardening mat, got to be cheaper than a "car" related item
