How about some nice RS4 look wheels or TT Sportline wheels. The sportline wheels are on the US Mk3 in Jan 04 edition of Performance VW. They look the nuts!!

The RS4 and the TT Competion wheels have crossed my mind a few times aswell [:s]

    Im really really fussy [:D]

Sorry to offend anyone but I would not put BSA, Excite, CAM, or Mille Miglia on my car all cheap and nasty IMO

    Cheers for all coments :)

Must admit i tend to agree, just pointing out the options.
Best bet would definately be the likes of Ronal, Autec, RH, Cromadora, Rondell etc

Pussy! I know what you mean about feeling like the tyre was peeling off! I done that yesterday and I actually pulled over to have a look! Although I'm being silly and fitting 195/40/17's to the front soon just for the sake of being able to go lower... Only young once!

TBH, Dont go over 8"s becuase you will need arch work, even with 8"s you need it depending on your height and if you take people in the back! I'd favour the RH's but you probably understand why! I feel BBS's are over done but it is done to you preference! I do like the FK's and I've never ever seen them on a U.K car!

Also, have you looked on the Styledynamix website?
Alot of good wheels on there, some of which may take your fancy.

What is the biggest size wheel/tyre (diameter and width) you can go up to without needing arch work (well any major arch work)?

If you like a rock hard ride you could probably go for 19" although the best choice would be either 17" or 18"

19's take alot of work to fit on a MK3 and would ruin the car IMO

18's can fit with no room for much lowering, then it will need arch work.

17's are the best bet for the MK3 if you want big wheels, but 16's handle better.

ye 19's fir its just a case of keeping within the rolling radius.
Trust me i've been involved with wheels and tyres for 15yrs

By the way Keskin is alive and kicking, i've just become an importer.

I do agree with most of the above though, 17's are the best bet, replacement tyres are only about 60 each and handling is better than the larger sizes, especially on the mk3

Nope not a Pussy! Don't forget Mark you only have to put around 90 bhp? down through your front wheels, whereas I've got nearly 200bhp  to cope with! Thus it literally would rip off anything less than 215's off an 8" rim under heavy cornering and accelerating. I appreciate yours is for looks, but being a regular track and strip day car, I need the most grip and the safest option, no one wants a tyre ripping off when your doing over a ton! [:^(]

Back to the Wheels for GPP, I recon go with the FK's too, as they look well manufactured and will suit the Dark MK3 down to the ground. ;)

Like BBs Theyre overpriced and overrated. Revolution is an old British wheel which has been reborn on the continent. Be carefull with these, if my memory serves me correctly they require special nuts/bolts not unlike original fitment ford. This means that if you lose a bolt its expensive to replace. Remember most of the aftermarket use 60 degree taper nuts/bolts, best to stick with them.

On the cost aspect. BBs are dearer than Ronal (who make OE VW/audi) and theyre 3pce costs are simillar to custom made wheels, so for the same price you can get wheels made for you. Nuff said.
