Alrite , this should be exciting four all those with thier private roads and race tracks , so the big question/sea who has been the fastest human on this forum , (anyone over 200!?) I'll start the figure at 115mph Jo
Pah! I did 662mph about a month ago in a Boing 747 (with a 47mph tail wind) and it didn't even feel quick
Bike - indicated 180mph Corrado - Well off the clock (they end at 160mph). Straight lines are boring though.
Driven myself a little over 140mph and been a passenger at 172mph in a BMW M3 CSL, still felt surprisingly mundane.
I have gotten my Evo4 up to an indicated 145mph on a runway. My TVR Chimaera 4.0 showed 140mph on the same runway. However, I was on the back of a friends Fireblade a couple of years ago and managed to eye the speedo while going full chat. An indicated 180mph!!! With me on the fecking back!
Indicated 150 on the bike, indicated 120 round a gentle curve when a combine harvester pulled out on me on said bike... I don't know about your life flashing before your eyes, but I did smell the previous days meals
Indicated 145 in my ex-missus MG TF of all things. Stomping on the brakes at the bottom of the slip-road off the motorway at that speed was...interesting... Mk2 would do a GPS-verified 130mph, and the Mk3 once pulled 140mph (GPS) on a veeeery long downhill.
Last weekend on the autobahn heading to the Nurburgring at 7.30am. Car was still pulling hard, but hit the limiter in 5th(Mk2 ABF, standard box).
245 kmh in a hired Merc Kompressor on the Autobahn near Hanover. 230 kmh in a BMW pool car en route to Steyr, Austria. 140 mph on the back of a Kawasaki ZZR 1100.... now THAT was scary! I've done 666 mph in a Boeing 767, as I was walking to the forward toilet. I was walking backwards at 658mph on the way back
