40-50 per hour + materials for a good welder.

    Edit:-
I think that with all those holes, id find out what cage as fitted, fit another and resign the shell to a track car. Alternatively, id be loooking for a new shell to put everything in.

Holes in shells tend to lead to rot once youve broken the seals, as such. They can be patched, but will need to be perfect.

i intend to do it properly, im no bodge artist, other wise i would just wack some filler on it or just stick the carpets back in,

will be cleaned up completely plated up then plastered in underseal above and below,:p

The welding is a simple job - it won't cost the earth and your right to keep it a road car... it looks well and they're only a few holes..

Deako,i cant believe you would reshell a car just because of a few holes,my Mk1 gti has 3/4 of thefloor completely rotten but i`m saving it.

I found a mobile welder/restoration specialist and he gave me a great price to restore the floor, half the price of a garage.

in the process of saving it right now! well more a clean up and prevension than sorting out the rot as there is not alot,

all been dremeld down to bare metal, then used, 'krust' to sort the rust, primed it, - 2 coats, and have loads of underseal waiting to go on,

    :p
