second thoughts - this has to be the worst!!! it was the 2.0 petrol version, honestly I thought an 8v mk4 was slow, this thing was actually dangerous

I second that, I'm an absolute car whore. Especially for anything stickshift. I had the time of my life going round the block in my aunt's Renault 11 with holes the size of tennis balls in the floorpan.

And I have to agree with the Amazon article, the Yugo's not half bad looking.

But the car I least enjoyed driving was another aunt's Mercedes M320. Handled and accelerated like a submarine.

Yes. Was tempted to drive through the SFO bay rather than over the Bay Bridge.

One of my old digi 8vs - string through the window as a throttle because the cable was broken, oak green but with rusty white doors, shocks that didn't contain any oil at all... eventually the clutch release bearing died spectacularly and it was added to the "TSC Breaker's Yard for Mk2 Golfs".

Worst car? easy, BMW 528i SE, broke gearboxes, was a very badly made POS. The ride was dreadfull (something the germans have never been any good at) The other 2 BMW's I have had have been no better. The best was without a doubt a 1972 Rover 2000TC P6 in almond (looked just like the car Vinnie Jones had in Lock Stock and Two SMoking Barrels, and those doors are very very heavy!)

Mine is probably a 5dr 205 turbo diesel. The car was solid, reliable, and fairly powerful for just a run around car. However the car for some reason just had no "soul", (Yes I know that is a daft thing to say, but it really felt like it) and was just not an enjoyable car to drive.

I replaced it with a Rover 214 SLi which felt like a far better car, which sums up just how bad the 205 felt!
