must have had it sorted, you couldnt say it didnt need welding with the hole like it was. thats good money for a mk1. and makes mine worth about 3K lol maybe prices are rising.
Yeah I have had the welding sorted, so felt no need to mention it. Why should I? I've been completely honest with anyone who has phoned or emailed and actively encouraged viewing. I have asked people to come and see the car in flesh before placing bids of which a few people have. One guy came round and spotted the welding and said it's a common area to go, he was kind of expecting it and expected some more. He was very impressed with how solid it is. spent a bit on getting standard alloys, standard interior, exhaust, welding, complete brakes overhaul, new clocks, etc. Haven't made any money really, although I could have been a fair bit better off!
all gone, was sad to see it go in my rear view mirror! ah well, time to get stuck in on the silver Campaign!
