Me and the missus were going for a meal in this country pub which we go to quite alot!

Anyway we were going down this country road at about 40mph and saw this car coming the other way.... i turned of my main beems, braked and pulled over a little so he could get past! Anyway the back left wheel must have locked on the mud just off the road, back end spun out and we went into the oncoming car side on!!!

Absolute nightmare, am totally gutted! the missus is pretty banged up & my car is destroyed! [8(] [:^(]

What made it worse was i was out of it for about 30 seconds, head on steering wheel, girlfriend thought i was dead - she was panicking, crying her eyes out! when i came to, she was phoning my dad..... i go out of the car and didnt even realise her face was all cut because of the glass! she was a proper mess..... we ended up going to A&E and they had remove glass from her face!

Anyway both o.k. which is the main thing!! just lost a Golf though, was only insured third party on it... so insurance only covers his Calibra!!

    gutted! [:^(]

Sorry to hear that SuperFly, on the plus side though you both walked away from it. Can you salvage much of it? If so you could but another mk2 and transfer the goodies from the old to the new...

Sheesh, side impacts are nasty, glad the gf is ok (I take it it was side that hit the other car). Good that everyone was ok, the way I see it is that the car stopped injuries being worse so the value of it is a small price to pay. I hope the next few days go better for you.

    :o

    jesus mate!

glad you and your missus are ok.
as everyone has said, its only a car. Fair enough, you are going to be gutted about it for a while but you will get a new car and it will be forgotten.
It could have been a whole lot worse- rest up with your girlfriend and forget about cars for a few days then try get back into the swing of things.......

Anyway i seem to remember some of your posts about info about beemers, mk4 golfs etc - were you thinking of flogging the golf?

    Sorry to hear about that

How much damage did the car suffer?

You may be able to get a few back if you break it / sell the scrap to someone.
