    pretty hefty damage.

did your g/f get cut by the glass from the left rear window then? shouldn't it have been a laminated window, and thus shattered into millions of harmless bits? you can still see jagged bits around the edge where the window used to be. i never got any of those, and never got any cuts, when i parked my nova in a cemetary wall...the rights rear window just shattered as i described above!

She had glass in her head, a facial surgeon had to remove it for her! So it was either glass from the left rear or back window because they were the two that smashed!

    Funkyfin2000 - I was only doing about 35!

R1-Jay - they're called MW's, they're nothing flash! i bought them when i got my first Golf.... were only 350 new!

what i liked about your car was that it was just a clean example of the GTI, i'm not into the single lamp/wiper look, i'd like nice 15" or 16" rims on mine and engine work, so that people can't see it

Sad end to another Dub - but might have been worse if you'd been in something less substantially built.

Glad to hear you're OK and g/f is on road to recovery.

Sorry to hear about your smash, glad you're OK!

Don't wanna be rude, but do you fancy selling me your driver's door? Been trying to get on for ages but had no luck.
