I took a look at my plugs last night first time since i put in the new injectors and did the WUR mod, and they looked a little whitish/grey for my liking, i know this means that the car is running a little lean, but i set the mixture to 2% and she runs brilliantly!

So, with the WUR mod, does the mixture have to be a little higher than normal? or is it because of the Merc injectors?

    All comments welcome!

    Cheers

well that why places tune em on rolling roads..the idle c/o doesnt relate to whats happening at speed, on a rolling road the can watch the air/fuel ratio while its driven

or use a wideband tuner yourself

i thought 2.0% is ideal though?? and he said his car runs brilliantly.

how would you increase the fuel throughout the rev range? you cant can you?

What's a wideband probe, is it like a lambda sensor in the digi's?

altering the wur affects the mixture when driving..what im saying is it could be rich or lean at revs, just setting the idle isnt good enough

if kevs happy then fine, BUT by rights it should be checked

Yes i understand mate! I will eventually get to a RR!

So the wideband probe, is it like a lambda sensor in the digi's, i'll end up tuning the kjet into a digi now, to the ecu can change the map through out the range LoL

Did you use the Merc injectors without the lower cap/seal on them?

a wideband tuner is a better version of a o2 sensor that goes in you exhaust pipe, then it plugs into a small box that give a digital display of the mixture

search for innovate lm-1thats what i got

Golden - no, the caps were not them as i got these nearly new off Hidro! so they looked identical to the VW injectors that they replaced!

pigbladder - Aha, i see, how did it cost you? and do you think it's worth getting one?

Edit just did a search, geez they are expensive!

mine worked out 180 from usa via ebay, its not the same as a mot tester really, it measures the air fuel ratio or lambda and will give a reading like 14.7

Not to bad, if i was going to keep her forever it would be a steal.

So the probe can tell you the mixture throught the rev range, but on a kjet how to you adjudst it for the whole range? I thought only a digi could do that??

thats what tweaking the wur does..although you cant fix specific lean/rich spots

the widebands always sell 2nd hand, prob get back most of your money..or use it next car

but stealth just tweak the wur to 48psi and thats it isn't it?? then adjust mixture and timing to suit??

so really it'll be better to just leave the WUR alone and get the engine rolling roaded??

but what do they adjust if it is lean?? the co mixture or the wur again??

everyone on here has said they just tweak the WUR to 48psi and leave it at that, so I'm assuming they just adjust the co mixture??

yeap they set it at 48 then fine tune it,, tell you what for stelath to set your car up providing everything else was in top shape would be cheaper than buying a wideband that may be your best option,, ;)
