XP on a 98 Machine

    [:s] it's a horrible OS.

    I'd put win2000 on it to be honest. Unless you use it for playing games, most wont work in win2000.

    Not using it to do anything!
    It was for 2 weeks a year so my dad could check his e-mail when we go on holiday. He has to keep on top of his business. But other then those 2 weeks its not used for a year!

    definately use 2000 then in that case. 98 isn't reliable.

    Would it accepct 2000 or would i still have driver issues etc...

    you'd have to check really. I imagine you shouldn't have much trouble with it, a lot of the drivers are just the same as NT4 ones.

    certainly far more chance of older hardware running in 2000 than XP. Just stick with 98 if you're worried, it's not the end of the world. I found win2000 was much, much more reliable though.
