Nah deffinately going black on them. I can't afford to pay out any more on them anyways.

This could be a slow project though as dont have much time in evenings and usually away on weekends.

Right due to large thick layers of paint and lack of patience I'm just paying out to get them refurbed.

It's part of the same company that did the crash repair work on my car so I know there work is spot on.

The guy was great gave me a tour of there facilities explained everything and talking me out of painting due to how easily they will be damaged.

So Plan is to get them powder coated in this slightly matted slightly off black colour they do, I'll take a pic of the sample colour tomorrow when I drop them off.

Best thing is he can turn them round within a week!

Yep, hopefully will have them on before next weekend. What are new credit cards for aye!

I actually rubbed down a complete spot to bare mtal last night too!

Any ideas for the center caps? I'm thinking black outer then keep the nut effect bit chromed, but after closer inspection the laquer on those have gone to. So might have to get the garage to sort them out too.

Well all is dropped off at the workshop. Thankfully I realised the centre all come apart which leaves 2 metal bits from each center cap so the outside ring is being done the silver/black same as the wheels and the nut is being done a silver.

I dont know if mine as different suspension to other golfs??

It might just be the angle of the shot, in real life it doesn't look that bad really.

Lowering is on the cards but I simply can't afford it now for a while, maybe Santa will bring me a nice set of adjustables.
