Hello all im sure plenty of people have posted the same question before but i would like to know how to get to the thermostat housing as the sneeky germans have hidden it away from me. I can see where it located with the bottom hose pipe but what im really asking is how many bolts need to be taken out and does any one have helpful diagrams or videos ? Much appeciated Ru lol P.S Its a Mk2 Gti 8v
I'll assume your car is also PAS in which case look > here for some info you will need to remove some of the setup to change the stat. I would recommend fitting a genuine stat as it's not the sort of job you want to do again in a hurry.
