You might notice that the battery has been relocated to the boot as well for the Polo GTI. Nice little touch i thought.
Nice choice!! Good to see pistonheads saying they find it better than the golf and reminds them of the mk2!!
Conversely I won't be sleeping at all I took these pics at the 'Ring and had not got around to putting them up, knowing this was the car, evidently now in the right colour (not red, as that amateurish post 1 shows ). Yours, Inconsolable [:^(] Enjoy
quality much nicer than a modern golf, thought it might be a polo after you gave me a little hint on what it cost and knowing you wanted something abit more fruity than the seat, like you said elsewhere you should pop down to a worcester meet once you got it, if you dont sell it before it arrives that is edit: have you got the tartan interior aswell?
Yep, tartan interior Nick. Chris, i have some of the same pics that were taken by some of the Mk5 Golf GTI Forum guys. Do your comments mean you actually want one of these Chris? Didnt want to post too many pics in Candy White, as there will be plenty once i get it. Looks so much nicer in Candy White though. Shame ive optioned it up to the hilt. It looks like if it was standard, it would be with us in July. With a Revo it will be pushing 210-215bhp.
No, I took the pics for a couple of reasons, but had a rough idea this is what you were buying, so was going to post them as a separate news item when I got round to it, albeit not referring to your car at all. This thread covers it! Curious now as to what exact engine is in it. Golf TSI supercharged/turbocharged motor?
Ah right. Yes it is the 1.4 TSI (Super and turbo charged). Has 180PS as per the sig and matches the Golf GTI pretty much 0-62mph. 7 speed DSG as well.
now the polo for sale ad makes sense, i was wondering what chris was on.... until i read deako buys a polo GTI
The 'cooking' new Polos are certainly nice to drive. We had one on loan for a while whilst debating about replacing the g/f's last shape Polo with a new one. I can't get comfy in the damn thing...the curve of the dash to the centre console was in the way of my leg, the seat wouldn't go low enough and if you got the seat close to perfect, the steering wheel wouldn't come out far enough to be spot-on (that's common to the Mk6 Golf) Should be a cracking car though with that engine & 'box. Not sure how good the chassis will be when driven hard, with no fancy rear end on it like the Golf...can't wait to try one and find out!
Finally! I couldnt handle the pressure of keeping it a secret anymore! Will catch you on MSN sometime and go over some figures, I think i need to start saving! Oh, When does the new reg come out? Dont you want to keep it untill then so its slightly younger?
Not particularly bothered to be honest Matt. It will be registered on D9 AKO anyway. But if it ends up being ready in the last week of August, we might just delay it till September registration so its on a 60 rather than a 10.
Yes, I saw that 'for sale' ad earlier and put two and two together before I saw this, assumed it was a Deako related post Looks good in white
