I think i'm just gunna pot a row of 38mm holes across the front , and another row across the rear on the bonnet with some Black mesh glued on behind.
Going back to the front crossbrace.....I cut the box section out of a new front panel and fabricated a new cross member instead on the racecar as I was having to replace the front end due to a shunt at Brands, I'll try and dig some photos out and get them upl
That's for when the car is stood waiting to race , to get rid of the heat prior to a run . I don't always have the pit crew (Wife & Kids) their to drop the bonnet when I get to the front of the line up. GTI Festival was a right pain for that reason . I don't mean right at the rear , I mean 3/4 back before the high pressure area. I do run Evans Supercool 180 so the Engine does run hotter than normal , I also need to fit a fan override switch in circuit too to help matters.
This is what I did for my cross member 3mm plate bent to form a 'u' section and then welded to chassis legs, then 2.5mm wall 50x50 tube welded under these with end caps welded on as well. a 3mm plate was then dropped down from the square section tube and front portion of JMR front mount was welded directly to that
McGill motorsport M8 turnbuckle and a pair of LH & RH thread rose joints is what you need, just work out what length you need and go from there
Fitted the Cross Brace that finally arrived from the US Wish I had made my own now and welded it in place . this one bolts onto the bumper mounts but i'll be welding it too . Front Panel bent with the strain Cross brace fitted loads of copies for sale Mr Snitch so you can go running to your friends in the US BUT IMPROVED DESIGN
anybody ever bought some of these from Silver Projects ? http://silverproject.pl/camber-plat....html?osCsid=ca4fb0be27a430fc3535f2fc6cf7629a I need some adjustable camber plates and found these on the net .
No but the ones I have on the racecar are similar and tbh don't work that well as the upper spring platform fouls the inside of the mount without me making a spacer up to give needed clearance. I am in the process of designing my own on CAD and will then be getting some made
