1.9tdi pd 150 in to a mk2 golf :-)

    actually i just had a look.. think i can modify the 16v mount butnot sure it will fit on a mk3 vr6 subframe

    you can use the standard mk2 mounts(not with a mk3 subframe as they are a diffrent fit) but you will have to clock the turbo and grind some clearance on the rear bracket as well,unless you use the dutchdub mounts you will be stuck useing a 5 speed gearbox as theres no standard mount that fits the 02m on the mk2 subframe,the other opition is to fit the mk4 mounts (which requires a lot of cutting and welding of the chassie rails) and fabrcate a lower dogbone mount

    Are You Sure The Mk3 Subframe Is Different Cus I Thought The Mounts Were All The Same Same Mk2/mk3.. Ive Had A Look Ut Havent Found Anything

    as you can see the engine mount has a diffrent attacment i belive the gearbox mount part is slightly taller as well but not 100% on that

    but i could get a mk3 mnount for the back of my block? and that would then fit..


    cheers for the help i do alot of research but never find out what i actually want to no

    yes if you use mk3 mounts with the mk3 subframe that would work

    no theres at least 3 diffrent ones,have a look on vagcat.com and that should give you some idear of whats out there,not sure what ones would fit but at a guss i would look at turbo diesel or abf ones as a starting point

    ive now got most my parts.. subframes the right engine mount a C2 motorsport gearbox mount the car the right tank.. now just need wheels and suspeion

    cheers i probally will be calling for help as the prject progreses..

    I have got every major part for it now just stripping the golf and cleaning/apinting parts now till i can get some time to really start it:) [:D]

    well guys can you help with this question?.. for the o2m drive shafts i am running 5stud on a vr6 hub... do i use mk4 bearings and mk4 hub or can i use all mk3?

    i am useing mk3 vr6 hubs and bearings in mk2 carriers as i was told this works(havnt fitted it up yet so cant say 100% it works but the guy that told me was running it on his car)

    o right so just mk3 stuff then not gunna need them till next week now anyway witch is a pain
