Also, my mate with the silver 16v corrado has just spunked 4 or 5k for a T3 turbo conversion with DTA management, forged pistons, blah blah blah....
Planned to be pushing near 300brake or so...

    Another option...

I'd get the best value 150/180 about then go for a simple remap. However, if remap plus 150 comes to more than a 210/225 then you might as well go for one of those.

No way has the 24V conversion been done, only one car comes to mind and thats Gareth S's!

I got myself a fully working corrado 2.9 to split apart and put the engine in mine now... cor, keep up with the times!

Dont matter if its been done, not been done by yaself and it your car remember... [:D]

Oh, 850 for the lump... what I paid for it... worth 4250!

AFAIK Stef it is the bare block and head complete with internals, and Mark got a quote from work for all the rewuired ancillaries. I think it came out to about 3000+

sure you could run it[24v vr] on bodies and omex or dta or something that would cut down on the cost a bit

Mark why was this engine replaced under warranty? must be something not quite 100% about it?

The 180's came in the lower spec Audi TT's, they're basically the 150 engine with a slightly modified K03 turbo.

I'd go for something a little different.

    How about 194.5672 BHP

    Or perhaps 203.33333333333333333 reoccuring BHP??

You can add the 2000 -> K03 turbo to a 150hp engine and get 240 with a remap. Just thought I'd let you know.

But if you're going for a straight turbo only swap like this then you might as well go bigger, like the E05, even one of the K04's fit IIRC.
