150bhp or 225bhp

    does'nt the 150 have larger ports and small turbo and the 225 have smaller ports and larger turbo???????????

    Just something i've heard from someone. there is a engine going on ed38 for 700 with gearbox.

    so whats the differnces in the engines apart from the pistons ?

    B0110cks. Meant to mention the compression ratio. [:$] Forged pistions in the 210/225 lumps too. That been mentioned?

    I have heard that 150/180 lumps will go to about 380 ish BHP without the need for uprated internals, acording to Mike a JabbaSport.

    I have a set of TT pistons and they aint looking forged to me...

    surely they could be from a 180bhp one, adn thus not forged (if i've understood it correctly*)?

    *which i haven't [:$] , this hasn't been fully determined yet!

    mine are forged :) and their in a 150 block ;)

    Mine are forged too, and there in a 150 block (standard) although happy running at 265Bhp, there is definitely a lot of BS about these 1.8T's.

    If you want good service speak to Designa Dubs.

    The inlet ports were larger on the earlier 1.8Ts, (eninge code AEB in audi guise for example), later engines all have smaller ports.
