Jesus! That`s two and half hours I`ll never get back! [:s]

Seriously. One (nay, two) awesome builds.

I remember the blue one in Golf+, and recently saw your sig in another thread and wondered if it was the same car or not. God knows how I`ve managed to miss this thread! [:$]

Keep up the good work mate!

All the work is just more reason and motivation to drive it [:D]

It's ultimately built to thrash, but just happens to look good too, as I don't like doing things by halves :p

Lots of progress made this week! I'll post up somemore pics at some stage next week, as I'm hoping my catchtank arrives. Engine will be finished then, though I'm thinking a remote oil cooler will be necessary, but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

So here is the engine all done apart from the radiator and overflow bottle, which I'm still waiting on. It's very loud and makes all the right woosh and kerpowww noises

Took these on Friday, so the weekends progress is missing (only finished the fuel lines prior to starting it, so it hardly looks different now anyway):

Finished all the oil lines - the drain line is something I'm most happy with, but I couldn't be bothered putting the car on the hoist, so I'll show that off later:

These are the new alloy hard lines from Earls - very nice things and bend to 90deg perfectly. With an olive and a very small flaring, the ends are converted to dash fittings neatly:

    Turbosmart bits everywhere:

Should have it on the road this week ;)

Coming along nicely! Like all the pipework, do you not use jubilee clips with the connectors?

Just something different/very simple and easy to work with too. The car is sponsored by Turbosmart so I've used their hose connectors aswell (which do need clamps by the way, I just didn't have them on when I took the pics) :)

Running happily - plenty of things to address/tidy-up/clean etc, though!

I have a lot of carbon parts to go on the car - plus obviously the doors etc - so I probably won't update the thread until I get this stuff on.

Also have to respray the tail gate as I baked a tiny bug into the paint :( Interior etc is still to do, but it's pretty minimalist, so this won't take too long...
