It'd be interesting to see the RR data before and after the conversion, see just what improvements had been made. I reckon I;ll get a 16V bottom end for my valver, am I to understand that it adds to the torque and low-down power delivery? That's where the 1.8 16V falls short.
Difference between a 9A on KR cams and a well set up KR is about 10-15bhp peak power, and 25-30 lb/ft peak torque 9A gives tuned 8v 2.0 torque at 3000, which is nice too Edited by: G_V_K
Have a look at the "tune up" page on my site - comparitive graphs of various 16vs Graphs - various 16v at Stealth Edited by: G_V_K
mmm - interesting! clever stuff GVK. Is the 3 degree advance possible to do yourself, I have no RR anywhere near me? Done most other jobs on cars nut never fiddled with the timing myself
Right going to the scrappy defo tomorow. how can i be sure thats its a 6a??? Will it be marked on the vin?? Or will i have to look for engine number?? Regards Dave

Unfortunately a car fell on him at the scrapyard, and he was crushed to death. The scrapyard owners say they'll dig his body out "By next summer, probably". I'm a mine of useful answers today....... [:-D]
