If you get it reliable would you ever gut it and tidy the shell up (and yourself you scruffy ****)?

Front will almost definitely have more power (can't imagine the rear making more than 170bhp being a 1.8) but it doesn't really matter which has more power for acceleration and such either way, driven rear wheels, even with very little power is better than pulling a f*cking heavy arse around :)

Nitrous sounds like signing my own death note [:p]

I was discussing the car earlier with my mate, this years goal is to make it up the strip in a respectable time, next year I'll look at getting it on the road and on the cover of a magazine... [:[] So yeah it'll be presentable someday even if I'm not [:D]

Aaaanyway, we've had a bit of a session on it, the front end is now back together, the rear carbs have an airbox (as a safety measure, it's a big ugly b*stard!) the front exhaust has some kind of mount which will probably fall off again and I thought I'd try and sort the rear gears out a bit.

Having gone through the gears a few times after a few tweaks I could reliably get 1-4th then the main operatey bit snapped off the gearstick itself (crap welds), then it completely fell apart at the gear stick in 3 different places. So I've now fixed all that back together eventually (MEATY welds) and in doing so I've got rid of that god awful screechy noise and gained a 5th gear [:D] ! Now have 1-5th reliably and only have to use one hand to do it

Boring update I know, next update will be when I get some more petrol, and it rains, and I unhook the front engine for some RWD fun [8D]

Only if you were to install it:lol: no amount of cheap fizzy drinks would save you or the car.

would make it undrivable at a guess? the two engines trying to do different things at the same time. least this way they are in synch

Why would I have one auto anyway? I've spent all this time getting manual (almost) right I'm not gonna rip it all out now!

    It'd probably work though...

Pffft like this car will ever be in London, those 2 decent videos on the last page used 5 litres of petrol alone! :o There aren't enough services on the M1 to make it to London in this deathtrap

1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th, the chances of it getting a full quarter without something going wrong or it running out of petrol are slim

I've been ragging it up and down the estate to try and make things break so I can fix them there rather than at a show, so far the rear clutch wasn't up to the job, the rear spark went missing again and the front exhaust fell off.

Will have every tool I might ever need to mend it in a hurry with me at the show... [:p]

Had a stunning Sunday at Inters (Friday and Saturday weren't so good) made it up the strip in a half respectable time, and only really got positive feedback for it this year [:D]

Couple of pics I've found so far stolen from other peoples threads, I'm sure there'll be more to come and there's a couple of video's to be uploaded yet too :)
