    Aaaaaaarrrgggg. Found rust!!!

    Coming through around rear tow eye, crushed but getting it sorted not sure how much there yet?

    Having found the rust it was about as good a bit of rust you would want to find ,ground it back tiny ,tiny bit of rust on a spot weld, not really worth filling. all prepped for a bit of paint, I can sleep at night again:):):)

    You sir, are a scumbag for even mentioning the microscopic speck of rust you found on that beautiful mk2 of yours.. think about the rest of us with average motors before you speak next time :p

    She still looks amazing, do you drive it much or is it a lockup and take out on sunny days play thing?

    After much fannying about trying to decide between bbs and bottletops I changed my mind again and ordered some brand new wheels today, bloody frustrating wait now[:x]

    Well after only a month they have arrived, well three of them did just need some money for new tyres........ brand new from VW

    Love the wheels, I picked up a set of these a few years ago for my old mk2, 60 2nd hand in reasonable condition, ended up swapping them plus cash for Borbet A's with my cousin!

    I have one brand new sitting here but not the centre cap. Where did you get these from? I'd love to get the other three for one of my golfs.

    Mine was made in Canada it's dated 1991, there were also red insert ones for the North American market.

    Hmm I was looking at our Teardrops on the grey Mk 2 and thinking I need more shine and scene points; still shiney in places but there is corrosion setting in. Did think about a refurb but how much new ones if you don't mind me asking?

    I Am not bored and I havent run out of things to do to the car.....

    anyway replaced some silly little plastic protecting things which was annoying me
