Au contraire! - as sold - as new - under warranty in France by VW! Note where the throttle butterfly is! Unfortunately the Mk1 had ceased production by 1986, so the Scirocco GTX thankfully carried the 16v torch where the Mk1 was unable to take advantage of the further advances in technology
Nature has the answer to this age old problem....... Caterpillars typically have 16 legs. But when they emerge from their chrysalis as a butterfly or moth, they have only 8 legs. See nature shows that evolving to 8 is a good thing and a step forward (Well actually they have 6 legs but I wanted this argument to work darnit!
Sitting to attention, but the remote HD? In a sorry state [:^(] Donations for a new laptop? This one is going to encounter a nasty firery, garden spade death, as I've always promised.!! I might even be able to get DTA comms working on the multi-valved mill!
Banter aside for a moment. Hope you get it all sorted and as many files recovered as possible. Sounds like a nightmare situation.
Thanks, it's a "little" annoying to be trying to format a computer only to find it's stealth formatting years of work and records and, and and... on an attached HD. That was today in the bin anyway, and I've a feeling it'll not get fixed at this sitting.
I have taken a giant step into the powerful light weight 8v engine from the over weighted 9a 16v... I feel like I'm cheating on the better half !!!! Is this right think to do !!!! Will it satisfy my needs !!!! Or end in tears and go running back to mother valver ... May the force be with me
I now pledge allegiance to the 8VAS after being "overvalved" for a while Here's the proof of the 20v's demise
Paraphrasing J. Clarkson, "obviously as this is Club GTI, and in the interests of impartiality" Richard Mk2 is moving away from the 8AS to the PFFMV http://www.clubgti.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2187724&postcount=610
