Jai - I got 174(atfw) on Sunday with 'just' a standard 9A head with 1800 KR cams - So you should see a bit more if the head is flowing well :) I'd look for a bubble block rather than trying to make a KR block 2 litre, should be able to find an Audi lump?

yup, RobT's Seat with BRM180 9A 16v with DTH throttles,Lumenition ECU,Schrick 276 cams,4 branch etc got the highest NA power 199.8 - look forward to seeing the power curves to see if the mapped fuelling/ignition gives a lot more 'drivability' than the old K-Jet cars, it should do ;)

PaulH's Jetta was impressive 190bhp and over 150 ft/lbs from a home built 9A with home ported head and Schrick 268s

edit - most powerful VAG 16v car was stealthwagon's 16v turbo 224bhp but has done 260 before @ Stealth :)

    MOST powerful car was Bill's mk4 1900 20vT 348bhp

Not forgetting that Civic TypeR 222bhp :)

And did you know the 9A, ABF and 2E all have the same crank? And that KR and 9A rods are the same? And that ABF and 2E rods are the same?

Do you care? No, thought not

got std kr bottom end, schrick 260's, Blydenstein stage 1 head.

peak power is at 7k (173bhp, 134lb/ft) but cam needs timing for best result)

and it will hit limiter in top on std 2Y box, and 195/50 tyres....
