I gave eBay South Africa a quick go, but found nothing.

The Autocavan/Volksport prototype was cobbled up from an Escort linkage. We eventually made kits for Golf Mk1 , Scirocco Mk 1 and 2 , Caddy Mk1 , they all differed in detail. They were made for us by a now defunct exhaust manufacturer in Cullompton Devon (Not Double S or Phoenix)

Is this something that can be re manufactured
    like the engine mounts?,
i'm sure if there is enough interest collected in the form of a list
    of names?
we could ask the question to a few if not the original fabricator?

That ties in with what I posted earlier and the timing of when I was over in SA and drove a Citi with just that type of linkage

Certainly, the torsion bar design is similar to the Fords like Fiesta and Escort mk3 and 4. The XR2s I have seen that race end up bracing the servo off the chassis leg and battery box as it still moves.
Yellow brake fluid cap is a Ford thing too.

That yellow cap makes it a bitsa. There is no way VW SA would sell that!

    I want one.

1). Does it fit directly, straight swap? That Servo looks MASSIVE!
2). Is it still available to buy?
    3). How much?
