Ive been playing for most of today now and i love it. Cant see the difference between CoD4 though apart from the guns and dogs I love it!
Played it a little bit (solo) and it's disappointing so far, been there done that, Russian bombed out cities... left for dead sniper in a fountain... scripting you can see a mile off, very narrow field of play in some points. I could SEE some snipers in the trees but would it **** let me shoot them because they were scripted for later on.
Thing is, just like 4 it`s all about the online play, so the main story missions are short, and easy to complete (for experienced FPS gamers anyway). I completely 4 in about 7 hours and this one in a little under 6, but that doesn`t bother me. It just lets you get used to how it feels and plays and what your enviroments and weapons are like. If this is the first COD you`ve played then you`ll be blown away, but if your are coming from 4, then it`s just an extension that. A very good extension though... I wasn`t sure what a return to WW2 would be like, but so far I reckon it`s great. The best part for me is the size and complexity of the maps. Should see the end of campers hopefully...
I aggree with Stu Its not meant for only the solo play, Thats just a pratice really. The online part is where the action is. Anyone playing tonight? I think im rank 13 already...
You haven't played it on veteran then? Because on veteran its almost impossible! I got to level 5 or 6 (in the trenches) and I just can't do it!!! As soon as you find cover, about 3 grenades drop on top of you, and when you run from cover, they shoot you to death! So if you've completed it on veteran difficulty, I salute you sir!!!
Got it yesterday for my birthday, i really rate it! Single player is pretty good, but then i still haven't bothered completing COD 4! I just love the online play, although the first 4 or 5 games i played today timed out after each one finished. Finishing in the top 3 or 4 every game although i'm sure that will change as everyone else gets better!
I don`t f*cking believe it... People are glitching/cheating already!! Had two tonight, that were `under` the graphics, shooting up at everyone. Why can`t people just play the game properly FFS???
aye, there's glitches on the round map with all the columns and trains and tanks me and John were playing, talking to some other brits (anyone noticed they haven't played any americans yet, I don't think, different servers?) and they were talking about glitches on that level, going underground and stuff. Amy - what rank is he now, and how long has he been playing online? took me 2 hours to get to rank 18, but I will confess, i suck at it, MW and you're all owned mind!
Yep, that`s the level. I jumped in tank and stuck a couple of shells into the ground between the trains, and I could see I`d injured them, but couldn`t kill them. I`ve played loads of Americans, but there`s definatley more Brits than were on 4.
