I just said I preferred home-built cars - and IMO Mark's is FAR from home-built. If you want to have it built by someone then that's your thing, but if your parents bought it for you, and you've only stuck bits on..... not home-built.

Seem to be stuck to your guns on the myth in your head that my parents paid for my car! Jealous dick!

Not bothered about it being home built or not, but it has been home built, I've built it to what it is today, at home! simple maths... Home + building car as it is today = Home built

Mine were both built by VW

Everything else is just changes, done by the owner to their preference.

I have done alot of work on both my golfs by myself and also had work done for me.

I class a kit car as proper home built car, changing exterior styling on a car that is already built aint really making it home built IMO

I have the article right beside me. "Birthdays come and go"..... did you put your own money into the trust fund for some reason every birthday?
"The car has been in and out of Type K Styling more times than Mark cares to mention" too....

So you bolted on some wheels, lowered it, and stuck on some mirrors? That isn't "Home built". TT's car is "Home built", along with many others on here. Yours is mostly done by others, with the easy bits bolted on by you along the way.

home built or cheque book built dont mean anything to me [:s]
    its just verbal diorhea(sp)

in the extreme that if some 1 buys a car and sits there with a brew saying "yeah throw that engine in,stick them wheels on,stereo, suspension, that colour....

does it matter? its all their choice of car and their choice of mods...
    i couldnt care a sh!te!

    lol
Magazine articles dooo tend to be exagerated, but guess u wudn't have experience of that..

I had stuff painted there! Yes, most money I got on ocassions was put into my account purely for a car!

I'm 19, done a rear disc conversion, front brake conversion, fitted new body panels, smoothed bumpers, preped my car, maintained my car, sourced EVERY bit on the car mainly by myself, customised bits to be total one off's, managed to get my mk3 lower than anyone elses on equally sized wheels by myself and making it usable for eveyday business by myself, but you still think, my car has been DONE mainly by others for the simple fact it was sprayed elsewhere!

    What a w**ker you are!

You must have a very interesting life to actually read thru my feature to try and slip me up! haha, love it!
