True, and no one will care if it was a driver in a couple of years when it has a 20vt.

    Here is one?

Is it still a driver with twin 40's.
Will kill even a modified 8V GTi + plus sounds much nicer than gay injection induction. Fuel consumption isn't that bad as long as they are tuned well.

Long live Carbs as they are much nicer than injection. Instant throttle responce. Much more revy. King for naturally apirated cars. You can rejet them yourselves, and do all the tuning yourself. Great for DIY enthusiasts.

k-jet injection feels way more responsive than a carb.

Carb fed throttle response will be pants compared to a car with Throttle Bodies...

Carbs are OK, but very old skool. Things have moved on a bit.. ;)

    What's the appeal of them?

    - My 1.8 carb ran fine no carb freeze, just make sure the 2 peice of hose is there.
    - 400 to 430 miles from a tank just spend 20 on getting the carb setup.
    - 17.0 on the 1/4, beat a few 8v gti's
    - Laughing at all the cliquey people who's most useful piece of advice to old car enthusiasts is to get the next model up.

haha so you are clearly enjoying the GTI BUZZ then, you can understand what the fuss is about. welcome to the real clubGTI thats a joke b4 everyone with a driver tries to hunt me down

I sometimes struggle with people who are convinced that a driver with a GTI cam is easily as fast as a real GTI. I used to enjoy destroying a mate in his GTI cam equipped driver with my standard 8v. i didnt think fast drivers existed??? no doubt some1 will make me look stupid now........;)
