G60 Overhaul (Yup u guessed it more bits)

    Well for those that havent seen it driving round she's now complete with a bra... :lol:

    Just back from being re-trimmed in Aston Martin leather (only thing that would match the mk2 golf leather) Autotrim have done an amazing job............

    Seats sitting on recaros subframes which actually sit lower then the standard mk2 subframes i was quite suprised at this :lol:

    All in all been an expensive month so far :lol: :lol:

    Ian, it looks fantastic. Hard to believe you have changed so much since you bought it, but preserved the car that it was, and built on it sooooo much since buying it.

    Absolutely unrecognisable seats from when I last saw them :) Wooh, nice one.

    Did you use a local trimmers, or Recaro's trimmers in the UK?

    They are actually a local re-trimmers in Ivybridge, Devon. They specialise in Mohair hoods normally but do seats as well. They also did Lee_GTI's interior and after seeing Lee's i new where to take the seats. They also replaced the bolsters so the seats are better then new pretty much very pleased with them i must say [:D]

    I was dreading taking them to a second rate re-trimmers like you see done in most Max P show cars where you can pick the leather off the seat, lol just looks so tacky.

    You have a fantastic looking car there, loving your spic and span engine bay!!:clap:
    Like the rear lights too, just got a pair myself and think they look good but one thing, the indicator bulbs:( Theres a horrible orange tint to the lights now, you found a way of getting round it?

    They are Recaro N-Joys you get them from recaro directly yourself

    Hey Ian, did you realise that this weekend was you and G60 PM`s first annivesary...i cant believe its been a year since we met on that sunny morning at those services !!!

    The bug is coming along nicely...it has Air ride suspension now, fully adjustable !!!

    I will stick a thread on here soon...

    The car looks lovely with that re trim, well done mate...
