The golf with the g60 one reg was from Aberdeen Was up for sale about 7 years wish I had gone to see it Was also up for sale at a mk2 dealer a few months after it sold in Aberdeen at the same price I should really have bought this but didn't has the money at the time
Interesting to know. I wonder what condition it's in these days? I'm sure I bumped into someone a few years back on a forum (maybe Edition38 but can't remember) who then owned it.
Yeah the price of Digifiz units is going crazy lately. Well actually the price of any MK2 part is going stupid lately! I'm glad I bought loads of stuff I needed ten years ago and hoarded it.
if i remember right it started out as a 16v and had a g60 conversion and had leather recaros with dark green centers may have been done by mj edited your post rather than replying to it what a spaz
It started out as a red shell too! (Edit - I mean G60 ONE. My Syncro is and always was Dark Burgundy Metallic, an Edition One trim option)
aye full respray not sure what color it was to start with though it was on sale on a local forum they keep all the ad's but unfortunately they had to move host a few years back after it went under so it's long gone
Cheers fasteddie It's really good to be making progress now and to throw an update up. It's seeing builds like yours that helped motivate me to get my finger out with it.
Hey Trev, great work with the repairs and on the underside. I used the epoxy 121 on my quattro and its great stuff. I'll be keeping an eye on this.
Trev, the loom for your seats, is it just a direct 12v feed? I was thinking of connecting mine to the cigarette lighter. Possible?
Thanks Conor. I must admit I don't know off the top of my head how the seat loom is arranged and what point it takes its positive feed. With many amps needed for the motors, I'm going to make a total guess that the +12V supply would come off one of the "Z" connectors on the back of the CE2 fusebox, then via a fuse clipped to the top somewhere? I would bet that either Rubjonny's fusebox FAQ would indicate this, or alternatively he most likely has a diagram for it in his Google drive stash (see his sig). I'll try to have a look shortly. When I'm back at home I can also dig out the actual wiring loom.
He is correct, I made a few exact copies a few years ago with VW parts, correct lenght and connectors the lot but didnt sell well so only made about 3 haha!
Lol I could probably dig out my crude drawing with all the measurements on and give you part numbers for the connectors and fuse holder if your interested.
That would be great, thanks. If I had known, or you still had one, id have definately bought one off you. Thanks anyway.
