Yes its true, the car is dead.

Was up at a mates in Kinross, headin back to glasgow, A977 not far from DRUM near the big mine - was goin round left hand corner, rear end stepped out, caught it, swung other way, caught it, swung all the way round hit ditch with passenger side, flipped car over fence and the rear drivers C pilar landed square on a wooden strainer post.

Car is totaled - the rear end is un recognisable, every panel is dented bar the passenger door, roof is kinked all trim torn off etc etc

Engine was still runnin when upside down, and was blowin smoke like a fekr when we started it later so thats totaled.

Me and my mate walked away toally fine - thank feck the golf is strong. the passenger compartment is intact and both doors are functional.

However, i'm am so so so so glad that one of my other mates decided not to conme, as if he had, then [:s]

we are so lucky, everyone who saw the car couldnt believe we walked away like we did.

Car can be replaced - but in all honesty - i dont think i'll be building another like that... We'll see

Car is now gonna have to await insurance outcome now - as for what happens it i dunno, as i dont live on mainland, so this is major pain in the ass.

Very genuinely gutted that your car has gone Andy.

On the flipside - glad we haven't lost a forum member.

Police had nothing to say, he said i did right thing reporting it, and that it was virtually a non reportable incident as it was only me in the field, only slight hitch is soome newly planted trees, but they are owned by the mine company and probably wont get claimed for.

I'm jus mega glad me mate was ok - i couldnt care less about myself or the car, so relieved he wasnt injured.

Argh, this is so crap, i put so much work into that and now its jus a heap of scrap!! [:^(] [:^(] [:^(] [:^(]
