I had similar treatment with the vento and was directed to park in a remote corner of the car park... [:x] I hope you gave them a piece of you mind..

hmm local number to me....never heard of them before..

    but cardiff?

yeah the dealers don't like the unusual creations of the VW world nor do they like anything over four years of age [:^(] [:x]

The local dealer loves me and my car!

I get all parts - VAT and 5%
I get the top whck service for the cost of the 2nd cheapest.
And the manager agrees that my car is how the car should have been built from the factory!

    Hmm the man said standard...

Dont want to spoil the supprise but the advert will show a mk1 golf with a well known tune from the 70's acompanied with a young lookin archetect(designer) same for the mk2, mk3 mk4 and mk5 (only the archetect dude gets older)

sorry to spoil it for you.

oh an the advert will show only left hookers as they dont start right hand production till week after next ;)

on that point, the mk5 is a toshed up ibiza from the rear and a more elegant 307 front.

the mk5 drove nice today, however i didnt! was concentratin too much on keepin the thing on the left side of the road renderin me unable to put it thru the paces!

    any q's jus ask.

The mk5 r32 will be f**kin nice and most probably f**kin quick. ;)

Heard that the Mk5 R32 was going to be an R36, 3.6 pushing out 270bhp. Any truth?

I got a 100% standard MK1 CL, but there will have to be some money involved for me to bring it up to Cardiff [:D]

Car is nearly 100% perfect, with Genuine 34k on the clock.

    Q) Why did they want non-GTI's?

    A)
1)The new cars look good against the non GTI models but look crap against the GTI models

    2) They were scared that an old Mk1 or Mk2 would leave it standing during filming...

VW UK has the last UK Rocco, not Wolfburg, so they might only be interested in the last evers. [:s]

I saw the advert when I went to see the new lord of the rings about 2 weeks ago. Quite good. I havn't seen it on the TV yet. I wouldn't personally buy a new golf anyway but its good to see mk1 & 2's on the tv.
