I managed to get the International A licence, with 6 bronzes, and 8 silvers and two golds and that was playing it over and over and over and the more you play the more you get frustrated and the crapier you get ! Especially if you have the ghost car on and it keeps getting in the way.....

Im playing it the hard way. (Not least because i sold my first PS2 and GT3 saves), so im doing it with no cash aids.

Got National B, A and International B licenses so far. Have completed all but one of the IB driving missions. Have got Gold in Sunday Cup, FF and 4wd.

I did start to do the Pro Clubman Cup but got minced by a Lotus Elise 11R. Need some more power before i get gold in those.

use the damn stick, dude. much more delicate control of throttle and brake.......

And I hope none of you are using the default auto transmission cos that's just gay.

    [:D]

oh and another tip, move the handbrake to the R1 button. Much easier to get to, especially when you're using both sticks and manual trans.

    ;)

I've found the same thing with the handling. Fly into a corner and brake hard then accelerate out and its like your locking up then wheel spinning away. I've tried using the anologue stick to accelerate and brake by i can't get it right and i start to steer with it and accelerate with the left stick [:s]

One thing i've found works well it mimicking left foot braking by using acceleratre and brake at the same to to gradually slow down and take the corners better.

Just got 1 more test then got IA License.
Got kinda annoyed for failing the nurburgring test IA-15 for outbraking the pace car.
Especially as I was 8.5 minutes into the lap. [:x]

Played it round my mates today.

The Nurburgring seemed much too narrow to me.

having bought it the second it came out, i have since:

done the first 4 licences, sunday cup, clubman cup, ff, fr, and 4wd cup, most the japanese events, the vw GTI cup, the first 10 missions, errm, thats about it

i bought an R33 skyline as a first car, now using some nissan sport thang with about 700bhp

no cash aids either, as i did all of GT3 on mymates memory card and i hardly see him anymore:thumbd:

after tuning my car a certain amount it now seems to have unlocked more tuneability!

there are not 5 stages of turbo, the most expensive being 80k which boost my bhp to 800+ :pbest get saving!

i didnt see the 'begginer courses' cuz im thick, so i spent ages doing the
civic cup in my 9k old skool type R. I promptly got 100k credits fro
finishing that and bought the HPA R32 for 32k (cheaper than stock R32)
    and modded it right up.

sunday cup was kinda easy with 602bhp

    nice one dude.

11 gold and 5 silver for me so far in the b-licence...

aren't the pace-car laps a bee-atch? haven't got any of those in gold yet.

but, and this isn't a piss-take...don't you think the gold licences are easier to get this time round? seems like it to me........

nice that you get a new car for all silver too.....

I'm pleased they've re-instated the used car factor.....low budget racing is what made the first two GT games fun to play; then gradually progressing to faster and faster machinery. That aspect of finding some unusual gem amongst the used cars really is cool (assuming the stock lists change every few days like they did in gt1 and gt2)

I got bored with GT3 too quickly because you got your hands on the monster machinery too easily, imo.

    :)
