Tested mine today... It's godknows how far out of date, but still has all the local cameras and accident blackspots in.

We did go down a road that wasn't there last year, which confused it and it bleeped like hell.... poor little thing

I've got a Snooper SD715iS radar detector Riley, as you say all it does is bleep at anything (GATSOS,Railway crossings, shop doors, etc etc) Pretty annoying and a waste of 200

These newer fangled devices such as the Road Angels etc don't 'pick up' the cameras as such, the locations are programmed into their memory so you shouldn't get any false alarms.

Claire's got the OriginB2 in the R32 and it gives a lot
more detailed info on the screen than the Road Angel, If I was paying the top whack (circa 400) I would've gone for the B2.

Been up the local bypass just now to try out the Road Angel, even though it needs registering/updating which can't be done till the 29th (anyone would think it's Christmas or something) It still alerted me of the Gatso and Truvelo along the road:)

Can alter the distance it warns you of the camera location 250-500-1000 meters which is handy.

Normal display shows accurate vehicle speed which is calculated by GPS, at indicated 60mph the RoadAngel shows 54mph, it does take a while to 'keep up' with the car under acceleration though

I think they had all of them on 5th gear a while back, tested them all in a black Volvo T5.

You can turn on a feature that gives an earlier warning once you're doing over 50mph.

One question to those who've got Road Angel...

I've downloaded the software from the site but it doesn't open, is this just am update for the 'proper' software you recieve after registering or??

The halfords sale advert was shown on tv tonight, not sure the sale only applied for one day though as Gary did say it was 1 day only. You can get them on ebay for 175 + P&P though.
